Bothwell Regional Health Center is set to offer a complimentary Stop the Bleed class to the community on Friday, April 18. The initiative aims to train individuals in medically approved bleeding control methods that can prevent severe blood loss.
"The goal of STOP THE BLEED is to train and equip bystanders to use medically proven bleeding control practices to stop severe blood loss," states the announcement. It emphasizes the importance of immediate action, noting that "the person next to a bleeding victim may very well be the one who’s most likely to save him or her from bleeding to death."
Participants will learn how to identify life-threatening bleeding and apply three essential techniques effectively. The session will run from 8 am until noon at the Bothwell Education Center located at 600 E. 14th Street.
For additional details or registration, interested individuals can contact the Bothwell Education Center via email at classes@brhc.org or by phone at 660.827.9516. More information about other classes offered by Bothwell is available at brhc.org/classes.
