Central Missouri cross country teams compete at NCAA-II Central Regional Meet

The University of Central Missouri's Mules and Jennies Cross Country teams competed at the NCAA Division II Central Regional Meet on Saturday, November 8, at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course hosted by Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri.

Marianna Bizon led the Jennies with a 45th-place finish out of 235 runners, setting a personal-best time of 22:16.5 in the 6K race. Alejandro Malave was the top finisher for the Mules, also placing 45th among 202 competitors with a personal-best time of 32:06.4 in the 10K event.

Other notable performances for the Mules included Jaise Bardwell finishing 78th (32:54.3), Patrick Hardesty at 90th (33:11.0), Kollin Tidman at 91st (33:11.4), and Colby Adams at 97th (33:21.9). All achieved personal-best times. Ty Lewis (34:43.5) and Sam Mathis (34:46.7) also recorded their fastest times to date.

For the Jennies, Daniella Gonzalez finished with a personal-best time of 26:07.6, while Kayli Cameron posted her best mark at 26:30.9.

The team results saw the Mules place 13th overall with a score of 444 points, while the Jennies finished in 31st place with a total of 889 points.

Winona State secured first place in the women's team standings with a score of 99 points, and East Central claimed victory in the men's competition with a total of 54 points.
