Central Missouri leads after first day at Tulsa Cup golf tournament

No. 14 Central Missouri took the lead after the first day of the Tulsa Cup, finishing with a 19-under-par score of 557 at Indian Springs Country Club in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The team posted rounds of 279 and 278 on Monday, Oct. 27.

Harding University is currently second, trailing by three strokes at 16-under 560. Arkansas-Fort Smith is third with an 8-under total of 568.

Senior Nick Fallin and CJ Phillips led Central Missouri, each tying for fourth place individually at 6-under par. Fallin recorded rounds of 68 and 70 for a total of 138, while Phillips shot scores of 71 and 67 to also finish at 138.

Freshman Kale Flinton is tied for ninth place after posting a two-round total of 140 (68, 72), putting him at four under par. Lawson Barks is tied for fifteenth at two under (73, 69), and Archer Schnieders is tied for twenty-third with an even-par score of 144 after shooting consecutive rounds of 72.

The tournament will conclude on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at Indian Springs Country Club.
