The Central Missouri Mules men's basketball team is set to begin its 120th season by participating in the 2025 D2CCA Tip-Off Classic. The tournament will take place at Alterowitz Gymnasium on the campus of Montana State-Billings, starting Friday, November 7.

Central Missouri opens against No. 10 Colorado School of Mines at noon CST. The Mules then face Montana State-Billings, which received votes in preseason polls, on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. CST. The final game is scheduled for Sunday at 10:00 a.m. CST against New Mexico Highlands.

According to the program, “Central Missouri enters the 2025-26 campaign as the third-winningest program in Division II with 1,778 victories, having won two NCAA Men's DII National Championships (1984 & 2014) and four championships (1937 & 1938 NAIB) overall.”

Adam Bohac returns for his third year as head coach after guiding the team to a 15-15 record last season, including a 9-10 mark in conference play. Last year’s squad featured two All-Conference performers: Kyran Tilley, who was named MIAA Freshman of the Year, and DeAirius Barker, who earned Honorable Mention honors.

The Mules’ roster includes four returning players from last season: Kyran Tilley, Jake Fritz, Noah Martin, and Kyree Polk. The team has added six transfers—three from Division I programs (Naz Brown from Coastal Carolina, AJ Lux from Bellarmine, and Jevon Hill from South Dakota) and three from Division II schools (Judah Sault from Belmont Abbey, Deadric Fikes from Newman, and Deshawne Crim from St. Thomas Aquinas College). Additionally, freshmen Carter Kaifes (Overland Park), Trinell Parker (Omaha), and Lazerek Houston (Lincoln) have joined the team.

During the previous season, Central Missouri averaged nearly 63 points per game while shooting just over 41 percent from the field. They collected about 32 rebounds per contest along with averages of more than ten assists and seven steals.

Friday’s matchup marks only the third meeting between Central Missouri and Colorado School of Mines; Central Missouri won both previous games in past decades. Saturday’s game will be the first-ever meeting with Montana State-Billings. On Sunday, Central Missouri faces New Mexico Highlands for just the second time; their last encounter occurred over eighty years ago during the 1938-39 season.

All tournament games will be streamed on a pay-per-view basis via the GNAC Network beginning Friday at noon CST.

After this event, Central Missouri will continue its schedule at the Central Region Challenge in Pittsburg, Kansas on November 14.
