Local student athletes will have the chance to complete their sports physicals for the upcoming school year at Western Missouri Medical Center's Sports Physical Night. The event is scheduled for May 21 from 5-7 p.m. and will be held in the Warrensburg High School gymnasium.
Physical examinations will be conducted by sports medicine experts and healthcare providers from Western Missouri Bone & Joint, Central Family Sports Medicine, and PT Solutions. The exams are available on a walk-in basis, with no prior appointment necessary. Students from Warrensburg and nearby school districts are welcome to attend.
The cost for a standard sports physical is $30, while exams that include an Electrocardiogram (EKG) are priced at $50. EKGs help identify potential heart conditions that could impact an athlete's ability to participate in sports and are recommended for high school students only.
Payment for the physicals can be made via cash or check. All proceeds from the event will benefit Warrensburg High School’s athletic training department.
Athletes planning to attend are encouraged to bring a completed sports physical form with their personal information filled out beforehand.
