Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia is set to provide a childcare education course, 'Safe Sitter', aimed at pre-teens on May 10. The session is directed towards students in grades 6 through 8 and will cover a variety of safety and childcare topics.

Students enrolled in the class will receive instruction on numerous aspects of safety, including indoor, outdoor, online, and personal safety practices. Additionally, the curriculum will cover child development, childcare routines such as diapering, behavior management, injury prevention, and management techniques. Instruction on choking rescue practices and CPR will also be included, as well as advice on managing a babysitting business.

The course will take place from 8 am to 2:30 pm at the Bothwell Education Center located at 600 E. 14th Street. The cost for attending the class is $45, and due to limited space, the deadline to register and submit payment is April 30. Payment must be submitted to secure a student's place in the program.

For further details or to enroll in the program, interested parties can contact the Bothwell Education Center at classes@brhc.org or call 660.827.9516.
