The Central Missouri Jennies Bowling team won the VUU Collegiate Invitational Championship in Midlothian, Virginia, after a close 4–3 victory over Howard University on Sunday. The final match was decided in the last frame when anchor Haylee Bates delivered two strikes in the tenth frame to secure the win for Central Missouri.
Earlier in bracket play, the Jennies defeated Morgan State, who were seeded second, with a score of 4–2. This victory gave them a bye into the championship round. Throughout the weekend, Central Missouri showed steady performance and teamwork.
This tournament win adds to their successful fall season as they prepare for upcoming competitions. The Jennies will compete next at the McKendree Invitational in Fairview Heights, Illinois, from November 14 to 16.
