The University of Central Missouri Jennies Soccer Team, ranked No. 12 nationally, secured a 1-0 victory over the Emporia State Hornets on Sunday, October 26, at ESU Soccer Pitch in Emporia, Kansas.

Ryann Clark scored the only goal of the match with a penalty kick in the 63rd minute. This marked Clark’s third penalty-kick goal of the season and her second game-winning goal in 2025.

Central Missouri outshot Emporia State by a margin of 10 to 4 and held a 6-3 advantage in shots on target. The Jennies also had one more corner kick than the Hornets, finishing with nine compared to eight for Emporia State.

Goalkeeper Kristen Wright recorded her eighth shutout of the year for Central Missouri by making three saves during the match. On the other side, Emporia State goalkeeper Mackenzi Goen allowed one goal and made five saves over 90 minutes.

The Jennies now have a record of 9-3-4 overall and are set to conclude their regular season with two home conference matches: against Missouri Southern on Friday, October 31, at 6 p.m., and against Pittsburg State on Sunday, November 2, at 1 p.m.
