Jennies soccer and Central Oklahoma finish scoreless in MIAA matchup

The University of Central Missouri Jennies Soccer team, ranked ninth nationally, played to a 0-0 draw against the Central Oklahoma Bronchos in a Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) match on Friday evening at Tom Thompson Field in Edmond, Oklahoma.

With this result, the Jennies' season record stands at 7-2-4 overall and 4-0-3 in conference play. The team is set to continue its schedule with an away match against the Newman Jets in Wichita, Kansas, on Sunday, October 19.

Goalkeepers Kristen Wright for Central Missouri and Avery Bass for Central Oklahoma each contributed to the scoreless outcome. Both combined for nine saves over the course of the match. Wright recorded three saves and earned her sixth shutout of the season, bringing her record to 7-2-4 as goalkeeper. Bass made six saves and also achieved her sixth shutout of the year.

Central Missouri outshot Central Oklahoma by a margin of 8-7 and held a 6-3 advantage in shots on goal. The Jennies also led in corner kicks with five compared to one by the Bronchos.
