Central Missouri Jennies golf team claims second straight tournament victory

The Central Missouri Jennies golf team secured their second consecutive tournament win on Tuesday, October 14, by finishing first at the Midwest Classic held at Mules National Golf Club in Warrensburg, Missouri.

The Jennies posted a three-round team total of 871 (289, 287, 295), ending the event 31-over par. Arkansas Tech finished nine strokes behind with an 880 (293, 291, 296), and Rogers State took third place with an 888 (295, 299, 294).

Senior Mia Rallo led Central Missouri with a runner-up finish. She shot a combined score of 207 (70, 70, 67), going three-under par. Ellen Spigner from Arkansas Tech won individual honors with a five-under-par total of 205. Washburn’s Susana Granados Carrion placed third at three-under-par with a score of 213.

Freshman Ansley Giesselmann finished fourth overall for the Jennies after carding a four-over-par score of 214 (68, 71, 75). Senior Kiki Bruner tied for ninth at ten-over-par with a total of 220 (75, 70, 75). Sophomore Madolyn Kost tied for thirty-fifth place at twenty-over-par with a score of 230 (76, 76, 78). Freshman Addison Davis was tied for forty-fifth after shooting twenty-four-over-par with her rounds totaling to 234 (76,77,81).

Several Jennies competed as individuals. Senior Libby Green tied for nineteenth at fourteen-over-par with a score of 224 (73,76,75). Sophomore Reece Nimmo tied for forty-seventh at twenty-five-over-par after scoring a total of 235 (76,80,79). Freshman Hannah Mottert finished tied for fifty-fifth at twenty-eight-over-par and a score of 238 (79,77,82). Freshman Olivia Thetford closed in eighty-fifth place with fifty-seven-over-par and rounds totaling to a score of 267 (95,86,86).

The Jennies will wrap up their fall schedule on October 27-28 when they compete in The Tulsa Cup hosted by Rogers State at The Club at Forest Ridge in Broken Arrow.
