Central Missouri men's golf finished second at the Missouri Western State Holiday Inn Express Invitational, which concluded on October 7 at St. Joseph Country Club. The Mules' A team posted a total score of 588, finishing 20-over par, with a final round of 285 that was the lowest team score of the day. The B team tied for sixth place with a score of 600.
Minnesota Crookston won the tournament with a score of 507, while Rockhurst took third place with 510.
Junior CJ Phillips led Central Missouri by winning his first career tournament title. Phillips shot a 64 in the second round and finished at 2-under-par 140 after opening with a 76. "Phillips fired a 7-under-par 64 in the second round en route to a 2-under-par 140 after rounds of 76 and 64."
For Team A, Archer Schnieders and Nick Fallin both finished tied for seventeenth with scores of 149. Schnieders recorded rounds of 75 and 74, while Fallin shot rounds of 76 and 73. Freshman Kale Flinton tied for twenty-second at 150, and Henry Manning finished tied for thirty-fifth at 153.
Team B was led by Lawson Barks, who tied for sixth at 145 after shooting rounds of 73 and 72. Jack Hope tied for eleventh at 148, Garret McIntosh tied for twenty-seventh at 152, Nathan Womak tied for forty-second at 155, and Andrew Whittaker finished fifty-seventh at 162.
Central Missouri's next tournament is scheduled for October 20–21 at the Missouri Southern Fall Invitational at Shangri-La Country Club in Monkey Island, Oklahoma.
