Central Missouri Jennies tied for sixth after first round at DBU Classic

The University of Central Missouri women's golf team finished the first round of the DBU Classic in a tie for sixth place. The tournament is being held at Oakmont Country Club in Corinth, Texas. After the opening 18 holes on Monday, the Jennies posted a team score of 295, which is seven over par. Dallas Baptist leads the field with a four-under-par total of 284.

Mia Rallo led Central Missouri with a three-under-par 69 and stands in second place individually after day one. Madolyn Kost recorded an even-par round of 72, placing her in a tie for 11th.

Libby Green completed her round at four-over-par (76), tying for 47th position. Senior Kiki Bruner shot six-over-par (78) to sit tied for 67th place. Freshman Ansley Giesselmann ended the day tied for 77th after shooting an 82, which is ten over par.

The final round of the tournament will be played on Tuesday, September 23.
