Western Missouri Medical Center's Heart Care of Warrensburg is expanding its services to include vascular care, in collaboration with Sano Vein & Vascular. This expansion is an effort to deliver comprehensive heart and vascular care to the community. Dr. Richard Coats, an experienced, fellowship-trained, board-certified general and vascular surgeon, has been appointed to lead this initiative.
Dr. Coats, who has more than two decades of experience, obtained his undergraduate, medical degree, residency, and fellowship from the University of Missouri in Columbia. Alongside his medical practice, he serves as a physician in the U.S. Navy Reserves and actively participates in training future surgeons. His expertise ensures that patients receive advanced vascular surgery techniques.
The new services at Heart Care of Warrensburg will address various conditions including carotid artery disease, aortic disease, peripheral arterial disease (PAD), deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and varicose veins, among others. Patients will have access to procedures such as angioplasty, stenting, endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR), peripheral artery bypass surgery, and vascular ultrasound interpretation.
Heart Care of Warrensburg is located at 427 Burkarth Rd., serving Johnson County and nearby regions, and offers both routine and complex heart condition diagnosis and treatment without requiring a referral.
