Dr. Donald Peghee, a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist, has joined the Bothwell Regional Health Center team. He will focus on women's health with an emphasis on hormone replacement therapy using bioidentical hormones.

Dr. Peghee has been practicing medicine since 2006 and brings extensive experience from both hospital and clinic settings. His services cover a range of obstetric and gynecological care, including preventive care, pregnancy management, delivery management, complex gynecologic conditions, and hormone therapy.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Throughout his career, Dr. Peghee has held leadership roles such as medical staff president and department chair.

“My goal is to provide the highest quality, evidence-based medical care to my patients,” he said. “Women’s health care is deeply personal, and I strive to build trust with my patients through clear communication and shared decision-making.”

Dr. Peghee's interest in obstetrics and gynecology began early in his career after assisting in his first delivery. “It was like witnessing a miracle,” he said. “That experience inspired me to dedicate my career to women’s health and ensuring patients receive the best possible care.”

Marvin Smoot, vice president of Clinic Operations at Bothwell, expressed enthusiasm for Dr. Peghee joining their team: “Dr. Peghee is a highly skilled and compassionate physician who brings expertise in general and specialized women’s health services,” he said. “His approach to care aligns with our mission to support the health and well-being of our community."

Dr. Peghee chose Bothwell because of its integrated hospital and clinic model that allows for broader community health impact. “I appreciate the opportunity to work with a variety of professionals to deliver compassionate care,” he said.

In addition to his professional commitments, Dr. Peghee enjoys spending time with family, traveling, sports activities, and playing pool.

New patients are now being accepted by Dr. Donald Peghee at Bothwell OB/GYN Associates alongside other practitioners including Drs. Michael Carozza and Dallas Thompson; Certified Nurse Midwives Cassie Caedo and Brittany Freeman; Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Megan Ray.
