Central Missouri Jennies Bowling is leading after the first day of the Jayhawk Collegiate Challenge held at Gage Bowl in Topeka, Kansas. The team accumulated a total of 4,647 pins over five traditional team games, placing them ahead in a field of 14 varsity teams.

The Jennies posted individual game scores of 964, 873, 959, 895, and 956. This consistent performance has given them nearly a 200-pin lead over Ottawa University, which finished the day with 4,450 pins.

Julia Speich led Central Missouri individually with a second-place overall finish. Other notable placements for the Jennies included Cynthia Phillips in sixth place and Emma Hawley in fifteenth. Additional team members—Elizabeth Poling (28th), Carrie Mascarello (34th), Bailey Kinklar (35th), Cameron Cramer (42nd), Gianna Nichols (45th), Haylee Bates (58th), Maddie Ley (71st), Sydney Lee (86th), Myranda Rogers (101st), and Meghan Fowlie (112th)—also contributed to the team's depth after the first day.

The tournament will continue on Sunday, October 26, with Baker matches concluding the event.
