Central Missouri Mules Golf teams compete in first round at Holiday Inn Express Classic

The Central Missouri Men's Golf teams began play at the Holiday Inn Express Classic on Monday, October 6, at St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri. After the first round, the Mules' A team posted a score of 303, which is 19-over par, placing them in sixth position. The B team finished with a score of 305, or 21-over par, securing eighth place after day one.

For the A team, sophomore Archer Schnieders led with a round of 75 (4-over par), tying for 17th individually. Juniors CJ Phillips and Henry Manning, freshman Kale Flinton, and senior Nick Fallin each carded a 76 (5-over par), resulting in a tie for 21st place.

On the B team, sophomore Lawson Barks recorded a score of 73 (2-over par), putting him in fourth place overall after the opening round. Freshman Garrett McIntosh and senior Jack Hope both shot rounds of 76 (5-over par), also tying for 21st place. Junior Nathan Womack finished with an 80 (9-over par) and senior Andrew Whittaker added an 83 (12-over par).

The tournament will continue with final rounds scheduled for Tuesday, October 7, at St. Joseph Country Club.
