The University of Central Missouri Jennies basketball team has been ranked fourth in both the 2025-26 MIAA Preseason Coaches' Poll and Media Poll, according to an announcement made by the conference office during the annual MIAA Basketball Media Day held at the College Basketball Experience in Kansas City, Missouri.
In the coaches' poll, Central Missouri received 138 points and one first-place vote. In the media poll, they garnered 271 points and four first-place votes. The competition for the top spot in the coaches' poll was close, with only four points separating the top three teams. Both coaches and media members agreed on which five teams should make up their respective top fives.
Fort Hays State led the coaches' poll with 152 points and two first-place votes. Washburn came in second with 148 points and six first-place votes, while Pittsburg State was third with 144 points and five first-place votes.

Central Missouri will return four starters this season, including Honorable Mention All-American Reese Schaaf and All-MIAA player Taylor Weishaar from last year's roster that finished with a record of seventeen wins and fifteen losses overall, tying for seventh place in conference play at eight wins and eleven losses.
The Jennies are scheduled to begin their new season on November fourteen through fifteen at the MIAA/NSIC Crossover event in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
