The University of Central Missouri Mules football team is set to play against the University of Central Oklahoma Bronchos in an away game at Chad Richison Stadium in Edmond, Oklahoma, on Saturday, October 4, at 7 p.m. Both teams currently hold a 2-2 record for the season.
Central Missouri enters the matchup following a decisive 62-10 victory over Missouri Southern Lions on September 27. In that game, the Mules recorded 620 yards of total offense, their highest since achieving 781 yards against Missouri Southern last season. The team also rushed for 325 yards, marking their best ground performance since 2023.

Last season, Central Missouri finished with a 9-3 record and tied for third place in the MIAA. The team advanced to postseason play for a second consecutive year and won the Heritage Bowl Powered by RIOT against the University of Texas Permian Basin.
This season marks the program’s 129th year. Since its founding in 1895—except for a break during World War I—the Mules have compiled a historical record of 606 wins, 540 losses, and 51 ties. The team has achieved at least eight wins in fifteen different seasons and has qualified for postseason play thirteen times.
The upcoming contest will be the thirteenth meeting between Central Missouri and Central Oklahoma since their first encounter in 2012; Central Missouri leads the series with eight wins to four.
