Central Missouri Jennies Volleyball secured a five-set win against the Rockhurst Hawks on Tuesday night at the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg. The Jennies, who now hold a 9-3 record and are 1-1 in the MIAA, overcame a two-set deficit to defeat Rockhurst (8-5, 1-0 GLVC) with set scores of 24-26, 19-25, 25-19, 25-17, and 16-14.

The match took place during Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City Night. After losing the first two sets and trailing in the third, Central Missouri began an 11-2 run that was capped by a kill from redshirt sophomore Emma Siron to take the third set. Siron recorded eight kills on 14 attempts in that set and finished with a team-high 17 kills overall, along with 11 digs and two blocks.

Central Missouri improved its hitting efficiency in the fourth set and was led by outside hitter Shaye Koski, who had five kills on ten swings for a .400 hitting percentage in that frame. Koski ended the match with 16 kills and seven digs.

In the deciding fifth set, middle blocker Kaelyn McDonald delivered her career-high fifteenth kill to give Central Missouri the lead at 15-14 before Koski’s final kill secured the win. McDonald also contributed seven blocks and four digs.

Senior Rachel Ziesman added to Central Missouri's offense with thirteen kills on thirty-three attempts (.333 attack percentage) and four blocks. Libero Grace Winkelmann anchored the defense with eighteen digs while Kirsten Harper posted a career-best fifteen digs; freshman Ragin Corwin contributed seven digs as well.

Setter Kayla Baer had fifty-three assists—her highest for this match—alongside nine digs and two blocks. Maya Fergerson added six kills and three blocks.

Central Missouri will continue its conference schedule on Friday, October 3rd against Arkansas-Fort Smith at the Stubblefield Center in Fort Smith.
