Central Missouri Jennies named preseason favorite in MIAA women's soccer coaches' poll

The University of Central Missouri Jennies soccer team has been selected as the preseason favorite in the 2025 MIAA Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll, according to an announcement from the conference office on Friday, August 15.

The Jennies received 132 points and four first-place votes, placing them at the top of the poll. The team is also ranked No. 13 in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason NCAA-II National Poll.

Central Oklahoma followed closely with 126 points and four first-place votes, while Missouri Western took third place with 124 points. Washburn was fourth with 123 points and five first-place votes. Northeastern State rounded out the top five with 92 points.

Additional teams in the poll included Northwest Missouri State (89 points), Pittsburg State (71), Nebraska Kearney (69), Fort Hays State (63), Emporia State (53), Rogers State (37), Missouri Southern (19), and Newman (16).

Last season, Central Missouri finished with a record of 9-2-1 against MIAA opponents and an overall record of 17-5-2. The Jennies won their seventh MIAA Tournament Title and finished third in the final regular season standings.

Central Missouri is set to begin its 2025 season on Friday, September 5, at Augustana in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
