University of Central Missouri Mules Basketball has announced the appointment of Charlie Wilson as Assistant Coach. Head Coach Adam Bohac expressed his enthusiasm for Wilson's addition to the team. "We are thrilled to welcome Charlie, his wife Kim, and their family to the University of Central Missouri and Mules Basketball," Bohac stated. He highlighted Wilson's regional familiarity and previous coaching successes as key assets.

Wilson, originally from Stewartsville, Missouri, joins after two seasons at Queens University of Charlotte. During his tenure there, he helped guide the Royals to an 18-15 record in their first season in the Division I Atlantic Sun Conference and was promoted to Associate Head Coach for the following season.

Before joining Queens University, Wilson led Indian River State College in Florida to a 147-61 record over seven seasons. His leadership brought four NJCAA Southern Conference championships and earned him four Conference Coach of the Year titles. Under his guidance, 32 players received NCAA Division I scholarships.

Wilson also spent time at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri, where he served as Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator after graduating from CMU with both bachelor's and master's degrees.

Expressing excitement about his new role, Wilson said, "I am looking forward to being a Mule and a part of the Warrensburg community."

The Mules will begin their upcoming season on November 7 against Colorado School of Mines at the D2CCA Tip-Off Classic in Billings, Montana.
