Bothwell Regional Health Center is calling for applications to join its Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC). The council aims to enhance patient care by incorporating insights from those with direct experience of the health center’s services.
The PFAC fosters communication between patients and hospital leadership, ensuring that service decisions are informed by users. Members work alongside Bothwell staff to assess services, provide feedback on improvement initiatives, and share personal experiences. They also act as community ambassadors supporting Bothwell's mission, vision, and values.
“The Patient and Family Advisory Council is a vital part of our commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care,” stated Lori Wightman, CEO of Bothwell. “By bringing patients and their families into the conversation, we can make meaningful changes that directly benefit those we serve.”
Meetings occur from 4:30 to 6 pm on the third Wednesday every other month. Members serve two-year terms. Current advisors include Vanessa Grosso, Stephanie Dedrick, Steven Griffith, Elizabeth Dillon; while Bothwell representatives are Patient Advocate Wendy Fairfax, Chief Nursing Officer Michele Laas, and Wightman.
Bothwell seeks new members interested in shaping the patient experience. Those who have received care or supported a loved one at Bothwell are encouraged to apply.
