Dr. Merle J. "Boo" Hodges, a seasoned obstetrician-gynecologist with nearly 40 years of experience, has joined the Western Missouri Women's Health Center and birthing team at Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) in Warrensburg, Missouri.
Dr. Hodges obtained his bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas in 1979 and completed his medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1983. He finished his OB/GYN residency at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1987. After over three decades practicing in Salina, Kansas, Dr. Hodges is now offering his expertise to the Warrensburg community.
During his career, Dr. Hodges has delivered more than 10,000 babies and gained significant experience in women's health issues such as hysterectomy and other complex OB-GYN procedures. He is a board-certified fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and has been a clinical instructor for medical students at the University of Kansas School of Medicine–Salina.
In addition to his medical work, Dr. Hodges is passionate about history, particularly the Civil War and World War II.
