Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Iowa Wesleyan University

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Iowa Wesleyan University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Iowa residents paid $24,600 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-residents paid 24 percent more than residents this year, or $30,500. Their price tag was unchanged from $30,500 in 2017-18.

About 26 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Iowa residents. About 53 percent are residents of other states and 20 percent are citizens of other countries.

Data shows 75 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 165 students received grants or scholarships totaling $2.4 million and 151 students took out student loans totaling more than $529,485.

Including all undergraduates (616), 451 students used grants or scholarships totaling $5.7 million, and 396 students took out $1.3 million in federal student loans.
