Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) is set to open a new dermatology clinic on August 19, aiming to improve access to skin care services for residents in Johnson County and surrounding areas. While the permanent location in the Medical Office Building is being prepared, the clinic will temporarily operate out of Surgical Services of Warrensburg.

Jessica L. Muelleman, FNP, will lead the clinic. She has received specialized training in dermatology through WMMC’s partnership with Cornerstone Dermatology & Surgery Group in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. This collaboration allowed her to train alongside Dr. David Fieleke, a double board-certified dermatologist. The ongoing partnership with Cornerstone Dermatology & Surgery Group is expected to support the development of advanced dermatologic services at WMMC.

In October, ReDefine Medical Spa will relocate from its current site to join the new dermatology clinic within the WMMC Medical Office Building. At that time, it will become part of Western Missouri Dermatology & Medical Aesthetics and shift focus toward medically directed services while discontinuing non-medically directed aesthetic offerings. The integration aims to combine medical dermatology expertise with select advanced medical aesthetic treatments.

Dr. Angela Phelps, who has more than two decades of experience as a board-certified physician in Family and Obesity Medicine, will continue as Medical Director for medical aesthetics at the combined clinic.

“We are thrilled to bring dermatology services to our community—a service that has consistently been one of the most requested by both our community members and providers,” said Darinda J. Dick, President and CEO of Western Missouri Medical Center. “Combining the medical expertise of dermatology with trusted aesthetic treatments in a single, convenient location marks another important step in our ongoing commitment to expanding access to high-quality, specialized care.”

Appointments for dermatology can be made by calling Western Missouri Dermatology at (660) 262-7737. For medical aesthetic appointments before October, patients may contact ReDefine Medical Spa at (660) 262-7770 or visit redefinemedicalspa.com.

Western Missouri Medical Center serves as an accredited acute care facility offering emergency care and various inpatient and outpatient health services from its base in Warrensburg.
