The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) will hold its 2025 Basketball Media Day on Monday, October 6, at the College Basketball Experience in downtown Kansas City. The event is presented by Seigfreid Bingham and is scheduled to start at 9 a.m.

Coaches from all 14 MIAA member institutions are expected to attend the invite-only event. The day will begin with opening remarks from Commissioner Mike Racy. Each school’s head coaches will participate in 15-minute press conferences, providing updates about their teams and answering questions from media representatives.

Central Missouri’s Jennies Basketball Head Coach Dave Slifer and Mules Basketball Head Coach Adam Bohac are set for their press conference slot at 9:30 a.m.

Brenda VanLengen, an Emmy Award-winning broadcaster who has worked as a women’s college basketball analyst for ESPN networks since 1996 and as a play-by-play announcer since 2010, returns as the emcee. She is also known for creating and producing the documentary series "If Not For Them," which explores the origins of women’s college basketball.

Fans can watch all press conferences live and free on The MIAA Network.

The Mules Basketball team begins its season November 7-9 at the D2CCA Tip-Off Classic in Billings, Montana. The Jennies Basketball team starts its campaign November 14-15 at the MIAA/NSIC Crossover in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Season tickets for both teams are available through UCMAthletics.com/tickets or at the UCM Athletics Ticket Office located on the east end of the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg.

The full schedule for Media Day includes sessions with each school’s coaching staff throughout the morning and early afternoon, beginning with Commissioner Mike Racy at 9:00 a.m., followed by coaches from Northwest Missouri, Central Missouri, Missouri Western, Rogers State, Northeastern State, Central Oklahoma, Arkansas-Fort Smith, Newman, Nebraska Kearney, Fort Hays State, Pittsburg State, Missouri Southern, Washburn, and Emporia State.
