Zach Loeffelholz, MD, has joined Western Missouri Bone & Joint as an orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Loeffelholz brings specialized training in sports medicine and experience treating a range of hip, knee, and shoulder conditions, including injuries in young athletes as well as arthritis and joint replacement cases.

Dr. Loeffelholz received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Spanish from Rockhurst University in 2015 and earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 2019. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at John Peter Smith Hospital in 2024 and then pursued a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Missouri–Kansas City in 2025.

He has also taken part in several medical mission trips to Chinandega, Nicaragua, where he performed hip and knee replacements for residents of a rural community.

In addition to his professional activities, Dr. Loeffelholz enjoys spending time with his wife Jori and their four children. His interests include golfing, exercising, biking, traveling, watching the Kansas City Chiefs, and working on home improvement projects.
