Weekly Report for the Week of May 9 to May 13

May 9: Commission attended the 911 Advisory Board meeting.

– Following the meeting, the Commission held general discussions in regard to the retention and recruitment report from the 911 Advisory Board

May 10: Bid Opening for Phase 1 with 4 bids to be taken into consideration. 

– Bids Received from:

o S&A Equipment and Builders of Fulton Missouri

o Emery Sapp & Sons Inc.

o Capital Paving & Concrete of Jefferson City Missouri

o Don Schnieders Excavating Co.

May 11: Smith- Cotton AP Language class toured the Courthouse and interacted with Elected Officials.

– Western Commissioner Jim Marcum attended the Missouri Association of Counties Board Meeting in Jefferson City.

– Eastern Commissioner Israel Baeza participated in a sit-along with 911 Central Dispatch and a ride-along with the Sheriff’s Department.

May 12:  Eastern Commissioner Israel Baeza attended the Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce meeting to give a county update

– Field Representative Ryan Bardot for Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler to visit with the Commission.

– Eastern Commissioner met with representatives from the Missouri Department of Transportation and District Engineer Ericka Ross.

– GIS Director James Theisen to visit and give updates regarding bridge projects in the County. 

– Presiding Commissioner David Dick and Eastern Commissioner Israel Baeza attended the “Respect for Law” banquet honoring first responders throughout Pettis County.

May 13: Bid opening for “Rock Hauling” – No Bids received 

– Commission approved two Building Use Requests for EMA to use the Road and Bridge Building for a Meeting and for a Car show to be held in September. 

– Commission approved and implemented the proposed pay plan changes as recommended by the 911 Advisory Board. 

– Citizen Dennis Mueller to visit with the Commission regarding issues.
