The University of Central Missouri Jennies Golf team finished in fourth place at the MIAA Women’s Golf Championship on April 22 at Mules National Golf Club. The team posted a final round score of 21-over par 301, bringing their three-round total to an 89-over par 929.
This result highlights the team’s performance in a competitive field. Nebraska Kearney won the championship with a score of 907 (+67), Washburn placed second with a score of 909 (+69), and No. 34 Rogers State finished third at 923 (+83).
Hannah Mottert led the Jennies by tying for ninth place individually, finishing with a total score of 229 (74,80,75) for a tournament total of 19-over par. Senior Libby Green finished in twentieth place with scores totaling to a 23-over par. Other notable performances included Kiki Bruner in twenty-first and Ansley Giesselmann tied for twenty-third.
Reece Nimmo joined as a substitute on Tuesday and contributed scores that totaled to nineteen over par across two rounds.
The Jennies are currently ranked seventh in the latest NCAA Division II Central Regional Rankings and are set to compete next in the NCAA-II Central Region Tournament from May 4-6 at St. Joseph Country Club.
